This data deletion policy applies to the BenzaiFlow mobile application available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store, developed and maintained by BenzaiFlow.

How to Request Account Deletion

You have the right to request deletion of your BenzaiFlow account and all associated personal data. Follow these steps to submit a deletion request:

Option A: In-App Deletion (Recommended)

  • Open the BenzaiFlow app
  • Navigate to Settings → Account
  • Scroll to the "Danger Zone" section
  • Tap "Delete Account"
  • Type "DELETE" to confirm
  • Tap the final confirmation button

Option B: Email Request

Send an email to our data protection team:

  • Subject: "Account Deletion Request"
  • Include your registered email address
  • We will verify your identity before processing

Processing Time

Your deletion request will be processed within 30 days of receipt. You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion is complete.

Data That Will Be Deleted

When you request account deletion, the following data will be permanently removed:

  • Account Information: Email address, name, profile data
  • Authentication Data: Passwords, OAuth tokens, session data
  • Task Data: All tasks, subtasks, and AI decomposition history
  • Timer & Focus Data: Focus session history, timer events, productivity statistics
  • Personal Settings: App preferences, customizations, notification settings
  • Queue Items: Task queue and scheduling data
  • Reports & Analytics: Personal productivity reports and insights
  • Calendar Integration: Synced calendar events and connections
  • Device Information: Device identifiers and push notification tokens

Data Retention & Exceptions

Certain data may be retained for legal or operational purposes:

⏱️ Temporarily Retained (Up to 90 days)

  • Backup Archives: Deleted from active systems immediately, removed from backups within 90 days
  • Cached Data: CDN and edge caches cleared within 24-48 hours
  • Log Files: Server logs containing your activity purged within 90 days

📋 May Be Retained (As legally required)

  • Transaction Records: Purchase history for tax and accounting purposes (7 years)
  • Legal Holds: Data subject to litigation or investigation requirements
  • Anonymized Analytics: Aggregated, non-identifiable usage statistics
  • Security Logs: Access logs for fraud prevention (up to 1 year)

Important Information

⚠️ Deletion is Permanent

Account deletion cannot be undone. All your tasks, progress data, and personalization will be permanently lost.

💳 Subscription Cancellation

If you have an active subscription, please cancel it through Google Play or Apple App Store before deletion to avoid future charges.

📱 Multi-Device Access

Deleting your account will immediately log you out from all devices and prevent future access.
